Félix "xQc" Lengyel is a Canadian full-time variety streamer who plays as a substitute for Gladiators Legion.

Channel

The channel xQc was created on September 12th, 2014. His first live moment can be seen on a video on his Twitch channel[1].

Biography

Félix “xQc” Lengyel is a French-Canadian twitch streamer who was born on November 12, 1995 in Laval, Québec. xQc’s funny and over the top personality helped his twitch career skyrocket and he has become the second most watched variety channel on twitch according to TwitchMetrics.

History

In his youth Lengyel liked playing video games but also enjoyed skateboarding and bouncing on his trampoline with his brother Nick. The two lived with their parents in Laval, Québec and after graduating high school xQc would start his Twitch channel. In the beginning of his Twitch career Félix would mainly stream League of Legends in French but with the release of Overwatch in May of 2016 xQc would find a new game. Félix found great success with Overwatch on his Twitch channel, but the game also helped him become a professional Esports player. xQc’s first Overwatch team was Q? which he joined in 2016. However, he became a well-known name in the Esports scene when he was signed to the Dallas Fuel in October of 2017.

Félix and the Fuel saw marginal success in the Overwatch League in the inaugural season. xQc would get banned from the league two separate times, first he was suspended from the league after making homophobic remarks about Houston Outlaws player Austin “Muma” Wilmot. After a small but successful return to the league xQc would be banned again when he posted the twitch emote tryhard accompanied with a 7, symbolizing a salute, when an African American commentator was on the screen. The Overwatch league and his critics claimed his actions were racist and it resulted in him ultimately being released from his team. Since leaving the Overwatch League Félix has found great success on twitch by becoming a full-time variety streamer who streams everything from VR games, IRL cooking and even opening Pokémon cards. xQc would be signed as a substitute tank for the Gladiator Legion in Februrary 2019 and it allowed Félix to move back to the US where he now lives with fellow streamer Sodapoppin.

Personal Life

xQc lives in Austin, Texas and is regularly seen with fellow Twitch streamers adeptthebest and Sodapoppin.
