Brandon "Seagull" Larned is an American full-time variety streamer.

Channel

The channel A_Seagull was created on December 28th, 2010. His earliest live moment can be seen on a video on his Twitch channel[1].

Biography

Seagull was born on July 23rd, 1992 in Washington. Brandon's funny and chill personality has helped him become a legend in the Overwatch scene and a notable streamer on Twitch.

History

Before becoming well known within the Overwatch scene Seagull was a professional Team Fortress 2 player who mainly played the Soldier character class. He played on the team Classic Mixup which was primarily a tournament competition team. When the Overwatch beta was released Seagull was invited to play and stream the game. Larned’s Twitch channel saw a lot of success during this period and he became one of the biggest Overwatch streamers. Seagull was initially a player for Team Lumosity in 2016 but a tweet from Shaquille O’Neil prompted him to switch teams and sign to NRG. While with NRG Seagull struggled with balancing both his professional Overwatch career and Twitch channel. So, in April 2017 he stepped down from NRG as a player but remained a streamer and substitute player for the organization.

Larned would eventually go onto join Team Envyus, a highly respected team who won Overwatch APEX Season 1. Team Envyus would become the Dallas Fuel when the Overwatch League began, and Seagull remained on the roster. However, he saw very little play in the beginning of the league and claims he saw almost no scrim time as well. Annoyed with his position on the bench Seagull decided he was going to practice D Va. in ranked. He got his opportunity to show his skills off when during a scrim his teammate took forever in the bathroom so the coach just put Seagull in for the scrim. The Fuel’s coaching staff were impressed by how good Seagull had become on D Va. and it helped him earn a starting position on the team. During the last stage of the Overwatch League Seagull’s intelligent D Va. play had helped his team reach their first stage playoffs. After the innagural season of the Overwatch League, Seagull stepped down from the Dallas Fuel so he could pursue a full-time streaming career. Seagull’s now branched off from Overwatch and has become a variety streamer but still makes time for Overwatch at least once a week.

Personal Life

Since leaving the Overwatch League, Seagull moved from Los Angeles, California to Washington state.
