Previously known as 'A New Beginning', New Game Plus was formed from the remnants of Cringe Crew. After a less then stellar showing through the 2016 season and being regarded only as a rather mid tier team Cringe Crew disbanded shortly after 2017 Smite World Championship. But this was not the end of their careers in Smite. With the departure of former team leader EmilZy, such a role was passed onto the team owner and coach Deathiance who began the process of rebuilding and holding onto the players that he could. Apart from maintaining a hold on Kero and Repikas from the original roster, the new forming team began to scout out players that had been making names for themselves in the professional scene for some time. Players such as Gamehunter and Murrdurr who have been around since the early days of the smite competitive scene but had failed to find a huge amount of success or notoriety since their initial outings. But they also managed to pick up N0Numbers who had shown a great amount of promise and success throughout the 2016-2017 Challenger scene.

They had been seen as favorites going into Spring Relegations; unfortunately the team had very little luck and failed to qualify for the Spring Split with a less than stellar 2-3 record.
