Splyce is an American multi-gaming esports organization, currently competing in the EU LCS. They were formerly known as Follow eSports.

History

Splyce was initially announced as Follow eSports on October 29th, 2015 as the new brand of Team Dignitas EU, with an initial roster including Wunderwear, Sencux, Kobbe, and Nisbeth.[1] They inherited Dignitas's seed into the 2016 EU LCS Spring Season. Their jungler was announced two weeks later to be Trashy.[2] In December, the team renamed to Splyce, changing their logo as well.[3]

2016 Season

Splyce stayed consistently in either seventh place or tied for eighth place in the spring split. Their final record was 5-13, in 8th place ahead of Team ROCCAT and behind Elements. With a favorable promotion tournament seed, Splyce played against Giants Gaming and won 3-2, requalifying for the LCS for the 2016 Summer Split. During the offseason, Splyce released Nisbeth and acquired Mikyx as their new support.

During the EULCS 2016 Summer Split, Splyce's performance improved greatly. With the new best of two format, Splyce was second in the round robin stage with 9-6-3 record behind G2 Esports. With a direct bye into the semi-finals for the EULCS 2016 Summer Playoffs, Splyce first face off H2K and beat them 3:2 to advance to finals against G2 Esports. Though only taking one game off of G2 in the finals to place second in the Summer Playoffs, the team did earn themselves another chance for the EULCS 3rd seed spot at Worlds by securing a bye into finals for the EULCS 2016 Regional Qualifiers. In a close series, they were able to beat Unicorns of Love 3:2 to finally qualify for 2016 Season World Championship

As the third seed representative from EULCS, Splyce was placed in Group D along with Samsung Galaxy, Team Solomid, and Royal Never Give Up. With only one win against Royal Never Give Up, Splyce failed to advance out of group stage, thus ending their 2016 season.

2017 Season

Without any roster change, Splyce enter the EULCS 2017 Spring Split with high expectation as one of the stronger teams to make playoffs. However, in the new best of three format where ten teams are divided into Group A and Group B, Splyce only placed third in their Group B and barely making the EULCS 2017 Spring Playoffs. In the quarterfinals, Splyce faced off against EULCS' newcomer Misfits and lost 2:3. Still the team earned 10 Championship points that will go towards earning a spot for the 2017 World Championship.

During the offseason, Splyce decided to part ways with YamatoCannon.

Heading into the new format of EULCS 2017 Summer Split, Splyce was placed in Group B with H2K, Unicorns of Love, Vitality, and Mysterious Monkeys. Although Group B is generally considered less competitive than Group A, where G2 and Fnatic dominate, Splyce's performance throughout the season was fairly average, albeit consistent, and placed third in their group at the end of the regular season. This qualifies them for the quarterfinal of the EULCS 2017 Summer Playoffs.

Paired against G2, Splyce forced a five game series but lost against their opponents who were simply more experienced. Though placed 5th-6th, Splyce still has enough Championship points to qualify for the EULCS 2017 Regional Qualifiers one last time. Unfortunately in the first round, they failed to secure a single against H2K. This marks the end of the 2017 season for the team.
