Park "Shy" Sang-myeon is the former top laner for ROX Tigers.

Park "Shy" Sang-myeon was born in Andong, South Korea on July 19, 1991, and he currently lives in Ilsan. Park began to play League of Legends when the Korean server was launched in February 2012, favoring toplane champions  Jarvan IV and  Jax.

Season 2

Shy joined Azubu Frost's roster after the 2012 OGN Spring Championship, replacing Locodoco; as part of this swap, former toplaner Woong moved to the AD carry position so that Shy could play toplane. Shy’s first OGN was Azubu The Champions Summer 2012. Frost ended up taking first in the tournament after a very close series against Counter Logic Gaming Europe. This victory qualified them to the Season 2 World Championship as the top Korean seed. Unfortunately Frost lost in the Finals 3-1 to the Taipei Assassins' but Shy’s exceptional play garnered him praise from players all around the world. Soon after he attended the 2012 MLG Fall Championship with Azubu Blaze after Reapered left the team. Here Shy once again proved his global dominance after Blaze beat Najin Sword in two separate sets in the finals.

Season 3

At the beginning of season 3 Azubu Frost qualified for IEM Katowice but were ultimately knocked out in the semifinals by Gambit Gaming. A month later, OLYMPUS Champions Winter 2012-2013 finished up. Frost made it to the finals but were swept 3-0 by Najin Sword. They were soon bought by the CJ Entus organization and attended the IEM Season VII - World Championship. They made it to the finals but lost to their sister team Blaze 3-1. Even thought Frost lost Shy earned the MVP for the tournament. Long time AD carry Woong left the team in the first of many roster swaps for Frost. Shy attended All-Star Shanghai 2013 after being voted in by the Korean fans. The team performed exceptionally well, taking first and earning an extra spot for Korea in the Season 3 World Championship.

Shy came back to Korea to participate in OLYMPUS Champions Spring 2013. Frost was swept in the semis by Blaze and then by SK Telecom T1 2, ultimately placing 4th. After several more roster swaps Frost entered the HOT6iX Champions Summer 2013 and once again placed 4th after losing 3-0 to the KT Rolster Bullets and losing in a close 3-2 set to MVP Ozone. They attended the Season 3 Korea Regional Finals with high hopes to go to worlds but missed their chance after losing 3-0 to KT B. Shy and Frost then had a very disappointing tournament at PANDORA.TV Champions Winter 2013-2014 where they had their worst result yet, placing 5th-8th after being swept in the quarter finals by Samsung Ozone. Shy attended IEM Season VIII - Singapore where he placed 2nd behind Invictus Gaming.

2014 Season

HOT6iX Champions Spring 2014 didn’t go much better for Shy after Samsung Blue beat him and his team 3-1 in the quarterfinals. The steady decline of Shy and Frost continued as they didn’t even make it out of groups at HOT6iX Champions Summer 2014. Frost’s poor performance during the entire year saw them miss the 2014 Season Korea Regional Finals.

2015 Season

With the change to OGN rules, CJ Entus was forced to combine their Blaze and Frost roster. Shy found himself as the uncontested starting top laner for CJ Entus following Flame’s departure from the organization. They were invited to IEM Katowice in March 2015. They finished in 5th/6th place, after defeating Gambit Gaming but then losing to Team SoloMid and Team WE. CJ participated in SBENU Champions Spring 2015 where they lost in the semifinals 3-2 to SK Telecom T1. Helper was called up to the starting roster prior to the start of SBENU Champions Summer 2015 to share the starting top lane position with Shy. CJ placed third in the regular season of Champions Summer but lost 3-0 to the KOO Tigers in the second round of the playoffs. CJ had enough circuit points to qualify for the 2015 Season Korea Regional Finals but they lost 3-2 to the Jin Air Green Wings.

2016 Preseason

CJ played in the 2015 LoL KeSPA Cup where they lost 3-0 in the finals to Ever.

  • Favorite champion is  Jax, because he was very impressed with Jax's lore and backstory.[1]
  • Shy played the Warcraft 3 Dota-like map "Chaos" for a long time. He started playing League of Legends in April 2012, meaning he had less League experience than almost every player in the Season 2 World Championships. [2]
  • Favorite player was at one point TSM's Dyrus. [3]
  • Awarded MVP at IEM Season VII - World Championship.
  • One of his alternative ID's "안동불기둥" means 안동's pillar or flame in which 안동 is a province where Shy was born. This ID was created by other Frost's teammates when he joined the team.
  • Known for his extremely good  Ryze in the top lane, and is one of the best  Jayce and  Singed players in the world.
  • Known for his phenomenal  Shen play. His Shadow Dash-Flash combos often catch multiple enemies off guard earning him MVP on several occasions in HOT6iX Champions Summer 2013.
  • Awarded Best Top Laner at 2012 Korean e-Sports Awards. [4]
  • Enjoys exercising and traveling.
  • Chose the name "Shy" because he can be timid, but is also able to be very talkative if the opportunity presents itself.
  • First champion was  Garen.
