Rainbow7 is a professional league of legends organization founded in December 2017. R7 was the former Lyon Gaming (2013) (2013) (2013) organization, however after losing trademark rights in a legal dispute, they were forced to pay a fine (12,500 USD) and seek a new identity. however, all the roster and trophies won under their previous name were attributed to the current team. Rainbow7 participated under this name in the last two editions of the Liga Latinoamérica Norte (LLN) and in 2019 will be part of the new league system from united Latin America (LLA).

History

Once the rainbow7 organization was created, the entire roster of the old Lyon Gaming (2013) (2013) (2013) was transferred to the R7 team however, in November 2017 WhiteLotus was sanctioned until May 2018 for extreme unsportsmanlike behavior in his soloq accounts, which led the organization to hire Manu (from Predators Esports) and later Zeicro (from Just Toys Havoks). With these additions, Rainbow7 began its participation in the 2018 LLN Opening Cup dominating the regular phase by finishing in first position with 10 victories and only 2 defeats, then prevailing over Gaming Gaming by 3:0 in the best of 5 and finally beat Infinity eSports by 3:1 in the final. Achieving this way one more time to be crowned as champion of LAN and assuring his step for the Mid-Season Invitational 2018.

In May 2018, Rainbow7 leaves his trip to Europe, to integrate group A of the Play-In phase along with Ascension Gaming, Gambit Esports and Kaos Latin Gamers. Along with this, WhiteLotus completes his sanction, so the player is immediately included in the roster participating in the tournament, relegating Manu and Zeicro as substitutes. R7 debuts in the tournament on May 5, achieving a victory against the Ascension Gaming team, however in their two remaining games of the day, would not be able to win against KLG, neither against GMB.
