"NoFe" (Real Name: Jeong No-chul (정노철)) is currently a coach for Hanwha Life Esports.

Season 2

Jeong "NoFe" No-chul initially began his career as the jungler for MVP Blue when he joined the new roster on May 7th, 2012. They qualified for Azubu The Champions Summer 2012 but they lost all three of their games and went out in last place.

Season 3

NoFe left MVP Blue in the middle of January 2013 and joined NaJin Shield in February. His first tournament with the team was the GIGABYTE StarsWar League Season 2 where Shield failed to make the top three in the their group to qualify for the playoffs. A few weeks later, OLYMPUS Champions Spring 2013 began. Shield qualified for the playoffs but met SK Telecom T1 2 in the quarterfinals and lost 3-0. Prior to HOT6iX Champions Summer 2013, Shield and their sister team, NaJin Sword, were rebranded to NaJin White Shield and NaJin Black Sword. Shield made it out of groups again but they fell in the quarterfinals 3-0 again, this time to CJ Entus Frost.

2014 Season

Shield attended PANDORA.TV Champions Winter 2013-2014 near the end of 2013 and qualified for the playoffs for a third time in a row. They finally passed the quarterfinals after beating Xenics Storm 3-1 but they then fell to Samsung Galaxy Ozone 3-1 in the semifinals. They ended in third place after a 3-1 loss to the KT Rolster Bullets. About a month later, NoFe decided to retire.

2015 Season

At the end of 2014, NoFe was announced as the head coach for the new roster of the HUYA Tigers. The team played in the Champions Spring 2015 Qualifiers along with Incredible Miracle, Prime Clan, and Xenics, where they finished 2-1 and qualified for Champions Spring 2015. The team then renamed to GE Tigers. GE started out unarguably the top team in Korea at SBENU Champions Spring 2015, mainly due to NoFe creating the "Juggermaw" comp, and earned themselves an invitation to the IEM Season IX World Championship in March. However, after defeating Cloud9 and SK Gaming to win their group, they lost 2-1 to Team WE in the semifinals. This defeat was considered by many casters and analysts to be the biggest upset to date in the entire history of League of Legends competition. They qualified for the finals of the OGN playoffs because of their first place finish in the regular season. Unfortunately, they lost 3-0 to SK Telecom T1 in the finals and placed second. The team renamed to the KOO Tigers prior to the start of SBENU Champions Summer 2015. KOO placed fourth in the regular season and qualified for the playoffs but lost 3-2 in the semifinals to KT Rolster. Because SKT won the finals, KOO still qualified for the 2015 Season World Championship as the second seed due to circuit points. At Worlds, he guided his team to the finals where they were able to break SKT's 14 game winning streak, but still lost 3-1 to finish in second place.

2016 Preseason

Soon after Worlds, Koo dropped the team as a sponsor and they renamed to the Tigers. The Tigers played in the 2015 LoL KeSPA Cup but they were upset in the first round 2-0 by SBENU Sonicboom. The Tigers renamed to ROX Tigers in January.

Career History

  • His ID, NoFe, probably comes from his real name (노철). 노 is No and 철 means "Iron" in Korean. The symbol for Iron is Fe, resulting in NoFe.
  • Respected in the Korean scene due to his intelligent playcalling.
