Jonathan "Grig" Armao is an American League of Legends player, currently playing as a Jungler for Team SoloMid. He was formerly known as Grigne.

Biography

Having spent the majority of his career on teams in the NA Challenger Scene, Grig has yet to reach major success and has had limited LCS exposure. After some solid showings with Echo Fox in 2017 while being a sub for the team, he managed to earn a spot in the TSM organization as part of TSM Academy. The team wasn't able to achieve good results in the first split of the NA Academy League. But with TSM's main team getting knocked out in the Quarterfinals of the NA LCS playoffs for the first, Grig was able to land a spot on the LCS team for the Summer Split, finally getting a chance to showcase his skills as a player.

Career History

2014 Season

Grig began his competitive career in late 2014 with COGnitive Gaming, in the NACL New Year's Kick-off Tournament. After being eliminated in the third round of the loser's bracket to Zenith eSports, the team disbanded.

2015 Season

Later in the 2015 season, Grig substituted for Hard on Cloud9 Tempest in League One. His next team was Team Liquid Academy, which he joined in May, along with Youngbin and Matt. The team played in the NACS 2015 Summer Qualifier but were eliminated by tournament favorites Misfits, who went on to become Renegades, in the semifinals of their bracket. Grig left the team in August and was replaced by Dardoch.

2016 Season

Grig was brought in as a substitute player for Echo Fox in Week 2 of the NA LCS Spring Split, when starting jungler Hard was unavailable to play due to visa problems.

2018 Season

Grig joined TSM Academy in December 2017, and was the starting Jungler for the 2018 NA Academy League Spring Split. On June 14, 2018, he was moved to TSM's main roster, where he will be sharing playtime with MikeYeung.[1]
