"Froggen" (Real Name: Henrik Hansen) is a Danish League of Legends player, currently a Mid Laner for Golden Guardians.

Biography

Hailing from Denmark, Henrik “Froggen” Hansen has played video games such as Counter-Strike and Warcraft 3 since his childhood. Froggen was introduced to League of Legends by his brother and, over time, realized that becoming a professional gamer was a possibility. Froggen’s competitive drive and desire to be the best AP Carry in League of Legends has landed him amongst the best players in the world of professional gaming. Mechanics and lane dominance are two aspects of Froggen’s gameplay that he believes will set him above the rest, and secure victories for his team.

  • Has a reputation for being one of the best  Anivia players in the world.
    • He owns an Anivia plush toy that he has taken onstage with him.
    • Has re-invented  Anivia multiple times, with successes in unusual builds such as Warmog's Armor and going for Chalice of Harmony and Tear of the Goddess for amplified mana regeneration.
    • Fans voted for him to play Anivia at the All-Star Paris 2014 Pick-10 challenge on Day 3, and he recorded a K/D/A of 11/0/14 against Bjergsen's  Zed.
    • One of his signature Anivia moves is to take Teleport and use it while Anivia (or "Eggnivia") has been KO'd while Rebirth is active (in egg form.)
  • Is known for a farming-centric mid lane style of play
  • Known for playing unconventional champions in the middle lane, such  Corki years before Corki mid became meta
  • When in Korea in season 2, he was forced to go mid every game by his solo queue team mates. There he learned to play bruisers mid and picked up his now famous Lee Sin mid that won him a series at MLG Dallas 2012.
  • One of the players to start the trend of running full magic resist rune pages and a playstyle involving rushing Abyssal Scepter on AP Carries.
  • All-Star 1v1 Showmatches
    • Defeated WeiXiao's  Jarvan IV with  Yasuo in an ace match to determine the All-Star Challenge at All-Star Paris 2014.
    • He defeated Faker in an Anivia mirror match in the opening round of the 1v1 tournament at All-Star Los Angeles 2015 - the first time the two played against each other in competitive play.
    • After his win against Faker, he defeated Koro1's  Quinn with an AP  Nasus in the second round of the 1v1 tournament at All-Star Los Angeles 2015.
    • In the ensuing quarterfinals at All-Star LA, he defeated Aphromoo in a  Zilean mirror match where both agreed to use only auto-attacks and not kill or attack each other.
  • He played support in an LCS game - namely, the third-place tiebreaker against Gambit in Summer 2013. He went 2/4/19 on  Blitzcrank while Krepo took his place with Anivia in the middle lane.
  • Favorite anime is Angel Beats!.
  • Favorite food is French Fries.
  • Often plays Tetris while waiting for his queue to pop.
  • He was selected by ggChronicle as the 2012 Player of the Year as well as being given the Silver Deathcap award for being a member of the fantasy team, World Team Two[3][4].
  • In 2012, ocelote accused Froggen of DDosing a game and later apologized for his accusation. Since then, it has been a running joke in the community that whenever a stream lags, it is due to Froggen ddosing the event.
