DetonatioN Gaming is the very first League of Legends team based in Japan, founded April 2013 when DetonatioN acquired the roster of FocusMe, including Gorira13, Anelace, Ceros, Yutapon, and PresidentMaa. It is one of the most strongest Japanese teams, having won the LJL several times, and having representing the region at innumerous international tournaments.

- April, DetonatioN acquires the roster of FocusMe to form DetonatioN FocusMe. Gorira13, Anelace, Ceros, Yutapon, and PresidentMaa (now Maa) join.[1]
- December 16th, sidmachine (now Sid) joins.[2]
- March 3rd, BonziN, Astarore and Riosilva join.[1]
- April 8th, Anelace leaves.[1]
- June, Maa moves from AD to Sub. Yutapon moves from Top to AD. BonziN moves from Sub to Top.
- September 22nd, KazuXD joins as an analyst.[3]
- November 1st, Gorira13 leaves.[1]
- December 10th, Arden joins.[1]
- December, Sid leaves.[1]
- December 21st, Yumenoti joins.[1]
- December 22nd, Riosilva retires.[4]
- March 31st, Arden leaves.[1]
- April 30th, Zenith joins.
- May 20th, Atu joins as a coach.[5]
- May 21st, Rokenia and Hwang join as starting jungler and support. Astarore becomes a sub, KazuXD becomes a full time analyst.[6]
- June 28th, Procxin joins. Hwang leaves. Rokenia moves to support. Zenith's contract is terminated. KazuXD returns to analyst duties.[7]
- July 6th, Prydz joins as a coach.[8] Atu and Procxin leaves.[1]
- September 1st, Prydz's contract expires.[9]
- September 15th, Twitch and NVIDIA sponsor DetonatioN FocusMe.[10]
- October 28th, Zerost joins and Rokenia leaves.[11]
- November 8th, team rebrands to DetonatioN Gaming but the League of Legends roster's name remain unchanged.[12]
- November 10th, SanDisk sponsors DetonatioN Gaming.[13]
- December 24th, Dragon joins as an analyst.[14]
- January 7th, Catch and viviD (now Eternal) join.[15]
- March 7th, nororin joins.[16]
- April 7th, team announces Nobuyuki "LGraN" Umezaki will step down as a manager after MSI.[17]
- April 25th, Yumenoti leaves. [18]
- May 1st, 7kane joins as manager. [19]
- May 10th, KazuXD leaves.[20]
- May 12th, Astarore moves to their sister team DetonatioN Rising.[21]
- May 14th, Curse sponsors DetonatioN FocusMe.[22]

- May 23th, team announces new roster. Eternal restores his name to viviD.[26]
