History

Founded in July of 2013, COGnitive Gaming (COG) is an eSports Franchise located in California. The franchise pulled together players of Wazabi Gaming to continue their journey through the League of Legends Challenger Circuit, where they hope to gain entrance into the LCS. On August 30th, they traveled to Seattle, Washington to compete in the PAX Promotional Qualifier. They came in 2nd, losing to compLexity Gaming. The team participated in the MOBAFire Challenger Series where they placed 5th in the playoffs.

Their next league would be another new amateur competition they were invited to, the North American Challenger League. They finished 4th in their Conference and didn't qualify for the playoffs. After this loss, COGnitive replaced iDream with Cris on the 2nd December 2013 and competed with this roster in the LCS 2014 Spring Promotion, where they finished 3rd in the Challenger Stage. In the Promotion Stage they faced Team Curse, where they lost 1-3. Cris left the team afterwards to join vVv White and got replaced by Richerich.

Because of qualifying for the Promotion Stage of the LCS 2014 Spring Promotion, the team aquired a spot in the 2014 NA Challenger Series Spring Season, where they face vVv White in the quarterfinals, the team of their former member Cris.

On February 25, 2014, COGnitive's starting roster disbanded. A few days later, they announced that they would be moving their second team, COG.Forge, to their starting lineup.[1]

2015 Preseason

On December 8th, COGnitive's new roster for the NACL New Year's Kick-off Tournament was announced: Big ol Ron, Grigne, LoveLona, Xerbek, and TranceTherapy was the new starting lineup, with TranceTherapy the only remaining player from the team's previous roster. Jjayel, 9JX, and i uzi joined the team as substitutes.

The team disbanded on December 20th when they found out that neither Gringe or Xerbek could play in the NACS Spring Qualifier due to age restrictions.
