"Baiano" (Real Name: Gustavo Gomes) is a Brazilian League of Legends player, currently a Support for CNB e-Sports Club. Also known as OwninG.

Biography

Baiano is from Salvador, Bahia. He is considered as one of the best support players in Brazil.

Career History

2014

Baiano was banned for a year in March, during the Elo Boosting/Drophacking/Scripting ban wave that caught several players. He played for lower-tier teams until February.

2015

He joined INTZ Red to participate in the Brazilian Challenger Circuit Summer. After the split, Baiano announced he could not join the INTZ Red gaming house, which is located in São Paulo, to prepare for the Promotion Series. It was then discovered that his ban was extended up until June, so he will not be ineligible to play in the series. In May, he parted ways with INTZ Red and joined JAYOB e-Sports, helping the team achieve first place in the Brazilian Challenger Circuit Winter.

Trivia

  • Gained popularity when he created the "Unranked to Challenger in 72 hours" challenge alongside esA. They were both part of Frequency Gaming's roster at that time.
  • His former teammates on INTZ Red claim that he is the one responsible for their team's success in the Challenger Circuit, due to his accurate shotcalls and game vision.
  • Achieved Rank 1 in Brazilian Solo Queue in August 2015.[1]
