Archangel's Staff is a legendary item available in League of Legends.

  • Archangel's Staff is commonly built by mage champions that frequently cast spells, such as  Ryze.
  • The passive produces one ability power per ~33 mana, giving 42 ability power from its own mana.
  • It becomes as good as Needlessly Large Rod at around 1,150 mana and gives as much ability power per gold at around 3,200 mana.
  • The bonus mana does not stack with multiple Archangel's Staffs, Tear of the Goddess, or Manamune.
  • Archangel's Staff has great synergy with Rabadon's Deathcap as it increases ability power by 30%. This means that whenever your mana is increased, the Archangel's Staff will increase your ability power, and then the Rabadon's Deathcap will increase it again due to the 30% ability power passive.
  • The ability power per mana passive is not unique. As such, with 6 staves it is possible to reach 18% mana conversion, for a grand total of one ability power every ~6 mana. This makes 5 Archangel's Staves and a Rabadon's Deathcap the highest ability power build currently possible in the game. This will give a total of 1,059.5 ability power, not including runes or masteries.
  • By building a full set of items giving mana (full stacked Archangel's Staff, maxed Rod of Ages, Banshee's Veil, Frozen Heart, and Lich Bane), you will acquire a total bonus 3,350 mana, which will grant total 100 bonus ability power, not counting for champion's base mana rating and other stats given by those items indefinitely.
  • For an Archangel's Staff to give more ability power than a single Rabadon's Deathcap(which gives 182 ability power if alone) a champion would need more than 4,567 mana. However, a champion would only need 3,167 mana for the Archangel's Staff to provide more ability power than a second Rabadon's Deathcap.
  • Toggle abilities such as  Singed's Poison Trail will not proc the mana increase.
  •  Anivia's Glacial Storm adds one stack at the end of channeling.  Rammus' Powerball adds one stack upon cast and another stack if ended early without a collision.
  • When the Mana Charge passive reaches its 750 Mana cap, the item transforms into Seraph's Embrace
