Tyler "Ninja" Blevins is a former professional Halo player and a current streamer for Luminosity Gaming. He is well known for his popular Twitch stream as well as his time on teams such as Evil Geniuses, Renegades, Cloud9, Team Liquid and Warriors. He is best known for streaming Fortnite as is the most popular Twitch streamer to date with over seven million followers and an average of over 80,000 viewers per stream.

Biography

Ninja was born on June 5, 1991 in Lake Villa, Illinois. He currently lives and resides nearby Chicago, Illinois, with his wife.

Career History

Halo 3

Ninja's professional career began after attending MLG Orlando 2009 as a member of Four of a Kind, with Aye Rab, Mac and Nate. In his first event, he would place 26th at MLG Anaheim 2009, with the team of Goatsii, Mota, and BLUEFiir3. Ninja joined Zekkou White where he finished 13th at MLG Dallas 2010 teaming up with Ali, Trip and Venom. He then went on to join Second Nature with Goatsii, Rowan, and Masssta, placing 25th in MLG Columbus 2010.

Halo: Reach

Halo Reach began a new peak for Ninja, never placing less than top 16. In his first appearance at MLG Dallas 2011, as a member of Invictus Gaming, he finished 12th alongside Calm, Swift Kill and Watch. At MLG Columbus 2011, Ninja with Totz, Fearitself and Victory X finished 5th. Ninja would find a temporary home with Turning Point for a few events with a roster alongside Best Man, Mikwen and Walshy. They finished MLG Anaheim 2011 with a 7th place finish. For MLG Raleigh 2011, the roster switched Best Man for Adrenaline and came in 9th. Adrenaline was swapped for Naded for MLG Orlando 2011 and MLG Providence 2011 where they finished 9th and 12. Ninja and Mikwen departed to join Str8 Rippin joining Strongside and Tsquared to compete in MLG Columbus 2012, finishing 13th-16th.

Halo 4

It was at The Halo 4 Exhibition that Ninja won his first professional tournament, then under Warriors alongside Goofy, Legit and Ryanoob. The team placed 2nd in both AGL Chicago and AGL Nashville in 2013. He then joined G4C with Snip3down, Proverb and A Pure Gangster, winning AGL6 Pittsburgh. He then decide to go back to Warriors with A Pure Gangster replacing Ryanoob. After rejoining Warriors for UMG Chicago, he made his worst finish in all of Halo 4 placing 3rd. He would win his last Halo 4 event after joining Team Requiem alongside Legit, Ace and Derksy to place 1st at AGL8 Knoxville.

Halo 2: Anniversary

After becoming a member of The Agency alongside Hysteria, FearitSelf and Victory X, Ninja placed 5th/6th at the ESL MCC Launch Invitational. At the start of the HCS Season, The Agency roster was picked up Cloud9. They then went on to finish 2nd in the pre-season online cup, finishing top 16 in their first online cup of the season. Cloud9 placed 4th at Iron Games Columbus 2014, then 5th UGC St. Louis 2015, and 4th at Gamers For Giving 2015. At the season finals held at PAX East 2015, they placed 4th for the season.

On March 18th 2015, Cloud9 officially released Ninja from the organization. He was announced as part of Noble Black's team with Arkanum, Aries and Prototype on March 28. Noble Black finished 7th at Iron Games Atlanta 2015. They lost to Velocity and Winterfox but beat Velocity in the consolation round. Two days later, Ninja's departure from Noble was announced. He then went on to form a new team named The Other Guys consisting of Aries, Spartan, and Shooter. They were later picked up by Team Liquid. They finished 7th at HCS Indianapolis, their first even. They finished top 8 in the HCS Season 2 Finals.

Halo 5

In the offseason, Aries, Shooter and Spartan were replaced with Ace, UnLegit and Chig. Hysteria replaced Chig when he left after the first qualifier cup. Ninja was released by Team Liquid following the third cup. Eventually, he joined Renegades with Spartan, Victory X, and StelluR once the team had gone through many team changes under such short time. They went on to place 4th at X Games Aspen 2016.
