History

The University of Colorado Boulder eSports club was first established in September 2015 by Monte Anderson. We are a non-profit student organization run by students for students of the University of Colorado Boulder. We began official operations in January of 2016 and gained a lot of momentum with the student body. By the end of 2016, we had over 250 members signed up on our website and have continued to grow as a community since then attracting both new freshmen students and current returning students.

As a club, we hope to keep growing and expand into new eSports games and host even more events. In our short lifetime, we have developed relationships with eSports groups, organizers, and communities alike. Thanks to our team and staff, we’ve been able to establish connections with groups such as TESPA College eSports, RIOT Games & uLOL, and more! See here for our Partners and Sponsors. As a club, we are also active on different social networks promoting club events, teams, and individual players. You can find us on Facebook, Twitter, & Reddit as well as our official Twitch channel. In our goal to promote eSports and gaming, we also host a Twitch Team for community member streaming their games on Twitch under CUeSports.[1]
