The Birth of Kaliber

Team KaLiBeR was created in 2013 for the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 season backed by several YouTubers with the leader being Jimmy "chaosxsilencer" M. The team was looking to build on the aspects of loyalty, teamwork, and dedication. Instead of attempting to take the roster of a huge team, tK simply built their own bringing together players they felt would be dedicated to the values the team believed in. With that in mind, the first roster was announced as being Sharp, Goonjar, Neslo, and Theory. The team made their debut at UMG Atlanta in which they showed just the kind of talent they possessed finishing an impressive 2nd behind only compLexity. Impressed with the placing, the team kept the roster and continued practicing. Unfortunately for them a performance like that wouldn't be replicated for the remainder of the game. At the MLG PAX Prime Invitational the team took a 3rd place finishing and then matched that performance when they traveled to London for Gfinity 2. The drop in placings continued at the final event of the season at UMG Dallas where the team got 4th even with 4 of the top teams missing the event because they were playing at the MLG Fall Invitational. Despite this, the team decided to stick together going into the new game.

Call of Duty: Ghosts

With the release of Call of Duty: Ghosts the team was looking to finally get the breakthrough win that always seemed to slip away. They were hoping to get some momentum going by attending a local LAN at eBash however they came up short playing 2nd. However, this was simply a warm up for the first real test with the new game which was the MLG Fall Championship. While the team played fantastic throughout the weekend, they came up short again finishing 2nd. Once again they were unable to defeat compLexity who continued their dominating run. Following the event, Goonjar left the team to join EnVyUs. This was the first time the team had ever had to deal with a roster change. Fortunately for them, compLexity had just dropped Clayster leaving one of the best AR players in the game as a Free Agent. Team Kaliber took advantage of this and picked him up to round out the roster adding an exceptional player with unmatched hype in-game.

Going into UMG Philadelphia team was going in with a chip on their shoulder, especially Clayster looking to prove his doubters wrong. Unfortunately for them, history repeated itself again. The team managed to reach the grand finals but fell short once more to compLexity finishing 2nd. Following the event, Clayster left for OpTic Gaming leaving the team with a gap to fill again. After a few days, they decided to go with Formal who was coming from Halo but proved he was more than worthy of being on a top team at UMG Philadelphia. With no major LAN events in the near future the team started practicing for the Call of Duty Championship 2014 Online Qualifier.

On January 23rd, 2014 the team decided a change was needed breaking up the core 3 they have had since the team's founding. Neslo was let go and replaced by former member Goonjar who left EnVyUs to rejoin. Team Kaliber would finish 3rd with this team at MLG CoD League Season 1, and would entire as a highly favored team in the Call of Duty Championship U.S. Regional Qualifier. They would finish 3rd in the tournament, just behind Complexity and Strictly Business. Going into the Call of Duty Championship 2014, tK would enter with high aspirations. They go 3-0 in pool play, earning a high seed, and would face OpTic Gaming in the first round of the Championship bracket. Team Kaliber would lose to Optic 3-0, a surprise to many, and would drop down into the Loser's bracket. Next, they would face EnVyUs losing a heart breaking series 3-2, finishing with a Top 16 placing, the team's lowest placing since its inception the year before.

Post Champs

After COD Champs, Formal would decide to leave Team Kaliber to join FaZe Black and Theory would leave to join FaZe Red. Team Kaliber would pick up Apathy, who had recently left Strictly Business, and Neslo would return from Justus. This roster would struggle online in the MLG CoD League Season 2 due to internet issues. Apathy would be unable to attend UGC Niagara due to vacation, and the team would pick up Madcat for the event. The team would perform decently well, and would finish in 7th/8th place. Many people began to wonder if the team would ever return to their former glory as the squad entered into the MLG X Games Invitational. Kaliber would come out of the gate swinging, defeating OpTic Nation 3-2 and Evil Geniuses 3-1 in group play, guaranteeing a Top 4 finish. In round 1 of the medal bracket, Team Kaliber would carry their momentum, defeating EnVyUs 3-1, and advancing to face Optic in the grand Final. tK would take the first domination in the series, but lose the Search and Blitz. The team would tie the series at 2, winning the second Domination, and would face off on Sovereign SnD. Optic would take a trilling game 6-4, and Team Kaliber would become the first Call of Duty X Games silver medalists.

Team Kaliber, despite a 2nd place finish at X Games, would continue to struggle in Season 2, barely qualifying for the Championship Bracket at the MLG Championship Anaheim. tK would enter the tournament with the lowest seed, 11th, and would face Epsilon in the first round. They would beat Epsilon in several close games, and advance to face EnVyUs in Winner's Round 2. They would fall to nV 3-0, and drop into the loser's bracket. There, they would face a hot TCM squad, losing 3-1 and being eliminated from the tournament. After Anaheim, Apathy would leave Kaliber to join Faze, and the team would announce Theory would be returning for the MLG CoD League Season 3.

Advanced Warfare

Team KaLiBeR arrived at MLG Columbus 25k open in a fiery spectacle. Their first match was up against OpTic Gaming 3-2ing them on mainstage making one of the biggest upsets. Next up tK played StDx ESPORT and finishing their pool with Prophecy. Saturday morning teams arrive and tKs first losers bracket match was up against Carnage with a quick 3-0 Carnage had been eliminated from the tournament thus starting tKs losers bracket run going through big names in the eSports community including and in order Strictly Business, OpTic Nation, EnVyUs and concluding their run in LB they played FaZe getting 3-1'd and FaZe moving to the grand final against OpTic Gaming.
