"Loony" (Real Name: Daniel Loza) is a professional Call of Duty player who broke out on to the scene during the Call of Duty: Ghosts season, he currently plays for the Toronto Ultra in Canada.
Biography
Loony began gaming back in Call of Duty: 3 and Halo 1. He has always been a fan of First-Person-Shooter games, and found himself being very talented at them. It was not until late into the year of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and the early period Call of Duty: Black Ops (1), that he became motivated to take part in the competitive side of gaming.
Black Ops 2
During Black Ops 2, Loony played for numerous organisations. The first being TEC.1Effort. He placed 29th at MLG Dallas with them. After Dallas, Loony joined Livin' The Dream and placed 13th place at MLG Anaheim. Loony then went on to join Team FeaR at UMG Dallas, placing 7th overall.
Ghosts
Upon the release of Ghosts, Loony joined Rise. He placed 7th overall at Call of Duty Championships, an impressive feat. He then went on to place 13/16th at UMG Dallas.
Advanced Warfare
Loony left Rise Nation at the start of the Advanced Warfare season to join Team Kaliber, joining up with long time TK members Sharp, Goonjar and Theory. The team was moderately successful, achieving at least top 8 finishes, including a 3rd place finish at MLG Pro League Season 1 Playoffs.
However after only 6 events, Loony left TK to join Team EnVyUs, where he would remain until the end of Advanced Warfare. The team, through various roster changes, enjoyed solid placings with Loony in the squad, including 1st place at the DreamHack Invitational 2015.
Black Ops 3
Loony returned to Rise for the release of Black Ops 3. He joined Slacked, Classic and previous teammate Octane. The team started out very strongly, winning their first major event - Totino's Invitational - beating out 7 other top teams. The team achieved top 4 or better in all but 4 events throughout Black Ops 3, however failed to win another LAN event all year, and finished with a 5-6th placing at the 2016 CoD Championship.
Infinite Warfare
Loony remained with Rise for Infinite Warfare, as the captain of the team, and recruited Aqua, Faccento and FeLonY. The team won the first major event of the year, 2017 CWL Las Vegas Open, but, after a string of disappointing results in the online MLG Gamebattles 2K series tournaments, the team placed in an unexpectedly poor 9-12th at the next event, 2017 CWL Atlanta Open.
